EXCUSERCISE - What People Are Saying
★★★★★ TedO Posted December 6, 2023
"Being Armed with new Great Excuses!" "Wow. A friend gave me this very useful book to check for any excuses I haven’t already used to dodge most everything. What a great resource. Many of what I call creative concepts are completely new to me and will be put to good use starting right now. There’s no more do tomorrow for me. I’m thinking next week or even better by simply adding my To Do list to my already long list of New Year resolutions list. Thanks Bruce and Michael. I’m looking forward with appreciation and a clear conscious to my much needed free time getting nothing done until my new me fresh start on January 1."★★★★★ Heidi M Posted October 29, 2023"Insightful & helpful advice for regular exercisers as well" "I just finished reading this book after borrowing a copy from my local library. As a person who works out regularly (but not without having to fight off challenges/stresses from my life constantly), I was pleasantly surprised at how much I've gained from reading it. This book is not only insightful on physiology and psychology but also humourous and fun-to-read. I found the sections 23 and 25 particularly helpful for me.
I plan on purchasing a few copies of this book as holiday gifts for my excusercising friends and relatives. Sincere thanks to the authors. "I wish I had this to read years ago! " As a health professional it would have worked well in motivating clients to live healthier and more fit lives. As a person who just loves exercise it would surely have inspired me during less active times to get moving again! It’s a great read and pretty funny too! Well done! A must have…"★★★★★ Sir Matthew Robinson Posted October 25, 2023
"Reach Your Goals"
"I have been a fitness trainer for 20 years and have heard nearly every excuse in the book. THIS book handles ALL of them and encourages even the most dedicated fitness fan to do a bit more and to help others do more too!"★★★★★ Mary Posted October 21, 2023"Motivating and Entertaining to Read"
"This book is a great motivational tool for all people interested in getting or staying physically fit. With a touch of humor the authors have managed to identify the most common excuses for not exercising and provide the motivational tools to overcome them. The book is filled with informative facts pertaining to exercise. This is a great book to have as a reference and invaluable if you are just starting out your fitness journey. I enjoyed reading this book."★★★★★ Maria C. Canino, PhD, NSCA-CSCS Posted October 14, 2023
"Cannot recommend enough!" "Excusercise is an extremely light-hearted book to read. It’s entertaining to grasp attention while providing extremely informative information to help readers understand. The book shows empathy and compassion without judgment- completely realistic. The book emphasizes and encourages an entire healthy lifestyle rather than just exercise itself, such as sleep. The suggestions provided are evidence-based while also considering the best way for behavior change: slow and steady wins the race! Combined with realistic expectations, self-compassion, listening to your body, and creating a healthy mindset associated with exercise. Highly recommend this book!★★★★★

"I found Excusercise an extremely motivating book, with a perfect balance of education and humor. One of my own excuses was that I don't have time to exercise. Now I make exercise my priority upon waking up. "There are no more excuses... exercise your body, and improve your quality of life." Thank you Dr. Bruce and Dr. Mike!

"Inspirational And Insightful!
"I Initially Purchased This Book As A Gift For My Niece Upon Her Graduation From College With A Degree In Physical Therapy. Once I Flipped Through Its Pages, I Purchased Another Copy For Myself. Excusercise Has Really Helped To Motivate Me. As I Near Retirement, I Want To Get Back To Exercising Regularly But In Reality, I Know There Are A Million Excuses For Avoiding Activity. This Book Explores And Then Debunks Popular Excuses With Humor And Wit. Now, I Can't Begin To Even Conjure An Excuse Before Realizing Its Irrational And Moments Later, I'm Enjoying A Hike Or Bike Ride."★★★★★ Jennifer Bartlett Educator Posted May 20, 2023
"" Genius!"
"So many times we try, so many times we fail. Yet, we keep trying the same thing. It’s amazing how many training programs there are, yet the reality is ANY of them will work if you put in the time. Addressing the concept that it is truly our brains and not our brawn 😄 that keeps us from our fitness goals makes all the sense in the world! At some point we hit a road block that is rooted in a lack of psychological resilience, not physical inability or the lack of the 'perfect' training program.Huge fan of this concept. This was a good read, not only for fitness, but beating excuses anywhere/anytime you make them in your daily life.Enjoyed this book. Recommended!"★★★★★ Kate Holt Exercise and Sport Psychology Practitioner Posted May 20, 2023
